Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is
the process by which those who are not baptized, or those who were baptized
into other Christian denominations, prepare to be initiated into the
Catholic faith. This process also includes those we were baptized Catholic
and
wish to complete their initiation by receiving the sacraments of Eucharist
and Confirmation. For more information, contact Father Cannon at
the rectory.
Music Ministry
The goal of the music ministry is to lead people,
through music, into becoming one body and fully alive in Christ. St. John's
music ministry, with its cantors, adult and children choirs, contemporary
music groups and varied instrumentalists, server at weekend liturgies
as well as special events. To participate, contact Paul Kelly, Music Director,
after any Mass or call him at (781) 356-7697.
Family Religious Education Program
A ministry which provides children and their families
with a comprehensive overview of our rich faith and tradition; to empower
adults (i.e. parents/guardians, catechists and other volunteers) with
the tools needed to enhance their own faith experience while helping young
people to develop their own personal relationship with Christ. To participate,

Parish Pastoral Council
Purpose of the Parish Council: To assist the pastor
in his leadership role of planning, organizing, initiating, promoting,
coordinating and
reviewing the evangelization, worship, religious education and supervise
activities within the parish.
Qualifications: A Catholic in good standing,
who participates in the sacramental life of the parish; age 18 or older
and who conforms to the
moral teachings of the Church, especially in pro-life issues and in
traditional teachings on marriage.
Term of Office: Three years, with
the possibility of reelection or reappointment. Members may serve
only two consecutive terms.
